Pennies from Heaven is the UK’s largest micro giving scheme for employees and pensioners. The scheme has raised £7.5 for over 800 charities charities. Major employers offering the scheme include Aldi UK, Barclays, HSBC UK, Cadbury Schweppes, Harrods, LV=, The Royal Bank of Scotland, TUI, WHSmith, many UK Councils and the largest UK employer the NHS.





We already offer Payroll Giving – is this the same?
Most of our employers offer Pennies from Heaven and Payroll Giving. Pennies from Heaven allows all your staff to give a little but together make a big difference to a charity important to the company. It’s 100% inclusive, everyone can afford to join in and feel a part of the success because donations are less than £1. If an employee wants to choose a charity important to them, and give more, then Payroll Giving is the perfect way to do this.

Check payroll
Most UK payroll systems can run the scheme including ADP, Ceridian, iTrent, Northgate, OpenPeople, Oracle, SAP and Workday.
Choose a charity
Employers can choose any registered charity or charities that all staff give to and charities can change annually.
Design communications
Pennies from Heaven can design bespoke artwork and share best practice from other employers running the scheme.
Invite staff to join
Option to join via the Pennies from Heaven website, paper applications or sign up via benefits platforms.
Collect the pennies
Donations are automatically deducted and sent to Pennies from Heaven via one BAC’s transfer per month.
What are the costs to run the scheme?
Pennies from Heaven will agree a modest fee for the license to run the scheme to not only cover the costs of the services we provide but also support us to continue our charitable work. Pennies from Heaven exists because employers realise the scheme can accomplish more by working together than acting alone. Without employers recognising the value we bring to the wider charitable sector Pennies from Heaven would simply close, costing the charity sector ~£700,000 a year of donations. The fee will depend on the level of services provided and the number of employees. Pennies from Heaven receives no other income and do not charge the charities anything.
