Ageas raise £34,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support in 2014
From bakes sales to the ice bucket challenge, Kwik Fit Insurance Services employees helped to raise a total of £34,050.81 for Macmillan Cancer Support in 2014.
We are pleased to say that £4,500 of this amount (13%) came from donations through the Pennies from Heaven scheme. Macmillan Cancer Support was the company-wide nominated charity for last year and the £34,000 raised within KFIS was added to a further £62,000 raised by the parent company Ageas meaning employees based across the whole of the UK raised a grand total of £97,000.
In 2014 Ageas gave employees the option to join the Pennies from Heaven scheme. Ageas said “Pennies from Heaven is the UK’s largest and most established brand in small change employee giving and is a simple way for employees to make an individual difference by donating the spare pennies from their monthly net pay. This scheme will continue throughout 2015 and we hope to turn those pennies into pounds for such a great cause!”
In 2015 staff will continue to give their payslip pennies with the NSPCC as the new benefiting charity.
