Charities to benefit from payroll windfall

 
Charities of all sizes are set to benefit from donations of funds thanks to RebusHR and Pennies from Heaven.  The scheme allows employees to donate the pennies from their pay cheques to charity, via their net salary payments each month.
 
RebusHR, one of the UK’s largest providers of payroll software, will be working with its clients in the future, to enable them to offer the Pennies from Heaven scheme to their employees, and is proactively supporting the campaign itself by asking its 1,200 employees to take part.  RebusHR will donate the money to the four local and national charities it supports: Sue Ryder Care; NSPCC; New Ark Play Association and Macmillan Cancer Relief.
 
Sheila Kostyrka, Fundraiser for Sue Ryder Care says: “RebusHR have done so much for us over the years, and we are delighted that they are to be involved in the Pennies from Heaven scheme.  It would be wonderful if other companies follow RebusHR’s example, and get involved in this initiative.  The money raised will go towards the £1.5 million pounds that is needed each year to keep our hospice running.”
 
David Craik, HR manager for RebusHR comments:  "I really endorse this scheme.  It is a great way for employees to contribute to charities.  If all our employees sign up to the scheme, we would raise an additional £9000 each year.  We are also pleased that the Government has extended its Gift Aid scheme to Pennies from Heaven, increasing the donations that charities will receive.”
